About Us

Welcome to Hidden Treasures Early Learning Centre, where we believe all children are capable, competent learners. Located in Unsworth Heights, Auckland, our Christian early childhood centre supports each child’s unique development through a balance of free play and structured experiences. We provide a broad curriculum that fosters holistic growth — spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and physically — guided by Te Whāriki, New Zealand’s national ECE curriculum.

Session times

8:30 to 3:30pm

Arrival and Departure

When bringing your child to school please make sure your child is left safely with one of the staff members before you leave. Also make sure you sign the attendance register on arrival in the morning and when collecting your child in the afternoon. Your child will be allowed to leave school only with those authorised adults named in your enrolment form

Portfolios

We observe children at play and record these observations in a narrative style called a LEARNING STORY. These are then posted into their individual portfolios. Using this information we assess where your child is at, where they may progress to and how we can help them get there. When we plan for your child, we share our findings and ask for parent input

First Aid

All our teachers are first aid trained. All bumps and injuries are recorded in our accident book and reported to parents.

Show and Tell

Show and Tell is held Monday to Thursday. Please allow your child to bring a toy from home in the bag that is given to them

Meals

Please provide packed boxes for both morning tea and lunch. We ask parents to prepare food according to food safety guidelines.

Clothing

Our typical day will include art, outdoor play and eating. Please provide your child with an extra set of clothing. Please ensure all clothing is labelled

4 year old programme

Our Busy Book Programme is held on a Tuesday, with age appropriate activities, designed for preparing children for life and school

Fees and Donations

Enrolment Fee $75.00 to be paid on acceptance of a place Under 3 year olds - $9.00 per hour Over 3 years - an hourly rate of $6.00 for each hour in excess of the 20ECE hours per week Donations - Over 3 years - $2.50 per hour (Tax deductible)

Please note:- All enrolments need to be finalised in person as we find it hugely important and beneficial to meet all families and children prior to a confirmation of placement

It has been a great journey joining the Westminster Christian Preschool, (Hidden Treasures )Gabrielle started preschool when she was just over 2 years old and she settled in beautifully with all the teachers and kids. I love the family-like atmosphere of Westminster Christian Preschool and the fact that the teachers are all so friendly and caring, most importantly they fill God's words into our little children's heart every day, that's invaluable! There are a lot of activities in school with great balance to encourage independence, social skills, physical and spiritual growth, like show and tell, indoor and outdoor play time, mat time, and not to mention - swimming classes every week, there are also beautiful photos captured every week for us parents to know what has been happening in school, it was wonderful to see that Gabrielle is having a lot of fun and good times with all her friends!

We loved our time at Westminster Preschool (Hidden Treasures) and the time shared with the wonderful Teachers. From the first moment we walked in to inquire about we felt this preschool would be the only one we could trust to leave our daughter. As an immigrant family the days at preschool have been extremely important in the socialization process of our daughter, the day to day interactions with the teachers and the children have been a really important part of our daughter’s life during these years.
